Amber Ruffin is getting her own show. (Photo: Ismael Quintanilla/Getty Images Entertainment via Getty Images) The Nebraska native’s show will be on NBC’s new streaming platform Peacock, and it’ll be called “The Amber Ruffin Show.” It’s being described as “A late-night show with just the good parts — the comedy,” according to Vulture, and it’ll surround Ruffin’s “smart-and-silly take on the week.” Meyers and Mike Shoemaker will produce it. Ruffin also had a deal with NBC in 2017 when the network gave her a pilot for a series called “Going Dutch.” It surrounded Ruffin’s real-life account of moving overseas and returning with a boyfriend who’s Dutch. The series wasn’t picked up, however. The 40-year-old also writes for the Comedy Central show “Detroiters,” as well as HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and narrates for “Drunk History,” also on Comedy Central.
